Mathematics relates one nation from another. It does not vary among continents, among countries, and among people. What is taught there is the same as what is taught here. Even though we speak and understand different languages, we can still communicate using mathematics. Mathematics may originate from different points in the world. It does not come only from one place and then from there disseminate to other parts of the world. It may come from the west, north, south or east. As long as there are people within that area that loves or are curious enough about things that only mathematics could solve. And for this review, we could tell that there are people, there were people who settled in the east that are considered to be great and contributed brilliant ideas in the world of mathematics.

Mathematics in the country of China. Mathematics helped build the imperial of China. Engineering reached such amazing feats there as could possibly be proved by the famous Great Wall. Here in China, ancient Chinese showed great fascination with patterns in numbers and thus the development of an early version of Sudoku. It is also believed that a decimal place number system was first used. Chinese, up to the present also has beliefs in the mystical powers of numbers. And I believe it’s great, and these beliefs surely helped them reach their present state of economic success. I just hope that the Philippines also believe and exercise these beliefs, hoping to lift our country’s current state. And also in China, internet cryptography has its origin in ancient Chinese work on equations. All netizens should thank the brilliant ancient Chinese community.

Mathematics in the country of India. The symbol for the number zero, considered as one of the great landmarks in the development of mathematics, was invented in here. Indian mathematicians have an outstanding understanding of the new concepts of infinity and negative numbers, and for their invention of trigonometry. Thanks to these mathematicians for they greatly contributed to the confusion and agony of the students. How students often curse mathematicians for inventing or discovering trigonometry. Now we know that the Indian mathematicians are responsible for it. We now know who to curse. Or for those who consider their selves as trigonometry lovers, who to thank.

Leonardo Fibonacci, creator of the Fibonacci sequence, was considered to be one of the mathematicians who are responsible for the spread of Eastern knowledge to the West.
